Interview Tips

At the Heart Nannies Agency we know how important the interview process is; therefore we provide you with a few tips that can make the process easier for you and your family. We recommend a two staged approach; an initial interview between the candidate and the parents; a follow up interview where your preferred nanny can meet the children and discuss any issues related to salary, accommodation (depending on the type of nanny position) and the expected duties of the role in a more detail. To finalise the recruitment process we recommend that you arrange a trial day with the nanny, ideally paid on a pro rata basis. This will allow you the opportunity of providing an induction for the nanny so they are clear on the daily routine and specifics of the role as well as providing you with the reassurance that they will be able to fit into your home environment.
